WARDED PRIVATE:I've fallen so far behind on my social engagements, and yet, I do not have anything to show for it. We have no Death Eaters in custody, and the only vampires that the DMLE pulled in were handled by what is clearly vigilante work. Kudos to them for getting something done that we can't because we have all these rules and regulations. Personally, I'd like to see the DMLE pulling these idiots off the streets. We need to have a bit of publicity - good publicity.
Why isn't the damn tip line coming up with anything useful? The Order has all this knowledge, and yet no one can do anything with it because of the way it was achieved.
I am so absolutely frustrated.

WARDED PRIVATE:Damnit, Emily. First her parents, then they go after her. You will be so missed. She was such a kind woman and a wonderful asset to the force.
Is it outrageous to suggest that Aurors should have other Aurors around for security?
Yes, that's what I thought.

WARDED PRIVATE:I swear to Merlin and all that is holy and sacred. For the love of Pete, please make everyone stop sending in rubbish "tips" that the Easter Bunny is a sodding Death Eater. What a waste of money and resources. I should not be fielding this CRAP the night before the Easter holiday because someone got pissed out of his mind and sent in a "tip" that the rabbit is a damned terrorist.
THE BUNNY IS NOT A DEATH EATER. IT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST. QUIT IT.

When a comrade falls, there is always a hole left where their presence should be. When someone so young falls, there is nothing but all the could-bes and should-bes.
Warded to Sloane Vaisey:
I could do with that lunch we talked about. I really need a friendly face.
Warded Private:
I thought that I'd exhausted all of my tears over Rupert and over Caradoc, but I was wrong. I find that I have tears enough for a cousin I barely knew and a girl who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oh, Dorcas, you were so young, so full of promise. To have that snatched away so vilely - and for them to leave her like that at our home... it's reprehensible and more terrible than I thought even they would go.
I guess I was wrong.
Though I didn't known Dorcas as well as I would have liked, she will be missed so very much. I've already put in a request to Dobbs to get her name on the Auror memorial.

Warded to Emily Prewett:
My dear, you know where to find me if you should need anything. I just wanted to let you know that your parents are in my thoughts and prayers.
Warded Private:
So this is it then. They're targeting Aurors' their loved ones. Their innocent loved ones. Is it because they know that only their Lord could actually take out one of our Aurors? They cannot get to us, and so they take the easy route. What cowards they are!

Warded to Edgar Bones:I had an idea, and tell me if this is ridiculous. The Order has all this wealth of information and networking that the DMLE just can't do for all the bureaucratic red tape. But we do have the DMLE's tip line, and every tip - no matter how ridiculous - has to be followed up on. What if Order members send anonymous tips in? We could get search warrants for suspects for whatever reasons, check out disturbances the DMLE thinks is far, far below its radar. Too far-fetched?

[February 14] |
Warded to Doug & Sarah Cornfoot & Iona Cornfoot & Michael Dawlish:
I have some rather bad news, and I wouldn't break this in a journal entry of all places if I could get away from the office. We recieved word shortly after 8pm this evening of a Dark Mark sighting above Cardiff, Wales.
Charity and Doc were killed tonight by unknown wizards. All we have to go on is the Dark Mark sighting, and what appears to have been the Killing Curse used on both of them. We won't know for sure until we get the results from the lab back, but I didn't want you to see it first thing in the papers in the morning.
Auror Edward Watkins is currently out to break the news to their families. Auror Alastor Moody has been assigned to the case, though I know it's of little or no comfort.
Warded Private:
My heart is broken. I've known Caradoc for a very long time. He was an outstanding man with a good heart, even if it wasn't always obvious from his expressions. He will be sorely missed.

Warded to Sarah Cornfoot & Sloane Vaisey:
Before you hear it from anyone else, apparently Cally and Andromeda Tonks made quite a splash today.
Can you believe that Andromeda Tonks had the nerve to attend a meeting of the Ladies' League, of which she's been a member since 1969. It caused such a complete and utter mess that would you believe half the "ladies" walked out?
So much for having class in the face of your "lessers."
Honestly, I don't understand these women, and I am so thankful this has given me the best excuse I could possibly imagine in getting out of this group.

Warded to Sarah & Douglas Cornfoot:
I know that the week of the funeral is always a tough one, but you've got the insulation of shock and people constantly consoling you. Then the next week, everyone has begun to move on with their lives, and it leaves you so much time to think.
How are the pair of you?
Warded to Michael Dawlish:
I realised that I never actually told you, but - strictly for the record - I am not a lesbian.
Warded to Boneses:
It's been too long since we've have dinner together.
